For learners
Free Ham Radio Curriculum materials are used in local classes and club events — not as a self-paced online course. If you found this site, a trainer in your community may be planning a workshop, or you are curious what is available.
What you might learn
- Emergency Radio 101 — why radio matters when everything else fails
- Ham 101 — introduction to amateur radio and licensing
- Fox Hunt — find a hidden transmitter, learn about antennas
- Ham HF Practical Skills — get on HF and make a contact
License milestones
Many workshops require no license at all. Others expect a Technician or General ticket — the unit page always states what is required.
Find a class
This site publishes materials for trainers. To attend a workshop, check with your local radio club, library, or mutual aid group — or ask an Elmer you know if they plan to lead one.
